Bill is an ex Chicago cop who relocates to Newport Beach after being shot in a drug bust.  He questions the meaning of life when he suddenly meets the most beautiful woman of his life, Nadine, who pays him no attention.

Sean, a corporate environmental lawyer in LA, is Nadine's secret lover.  Disillusioned about love, he commits to no woman.
